Ambassador Jeff Bartos, the U.S. Representative for U.N. Management and Reform recently briefed members of the international press on the priorities of the U.S. in U.N. Management, Peacekeeping Operations in Africa, and Ongoing Reform Efforts.


The New York Foreign Press Center (NYFPC) hosted a briefing with Ambassador Jeff Bartos, U.S. Representative for United Nations Management and Reform. Ambassador Bartos’ briefing centered on the current state of the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), and the major construction project at the United Nations Office at Nairobi.

Following a field trip to the Central African Republic. and Kenya, Ambassador Bartos also discussed the recently signed landmark MOU with the UN Office of the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and share insights on U.S. priorities regarding U.N. management and ongoing reform efforts.
